Alhambra High School serves nearly all of Martinez — the district's only non-alternative high school, so almost every MUSD student lands here. Solid academics, notable athletic programs, and a tight community culture.
The school enrolls roughly 1,400 students in grades 9–12, offers a full range of AP courses (Calculus, English Lit, US History, Biology, Chemistry), and has competitive sports programs — football, soccer, baseball, volleyball.
Because Alhambra serves essentially all of Martinez, homes don't differ in high-school assignment — the differentiation is at the elementary and middle school level. That simplifies the buyer search considerably.
Alhambra alumni end up at the full range of UCs, CSUs, and private colleges. Not a magnet school, but a dependable public option that prepares motivated students well.
