Most of Dana Estates was built between 1958 and 1975, with a secondary wave of infill in the late 1990s. The original homes are true ranch — 3- and 4-bedroom single story on 7,000–11,000 sqft lots. That's roomier than anything similar in Walnut Creek at a significant discount.
Schools matter here: many Dana Estates addresses feed into Mt. Diablo Elementary, Pine Hollow Middle, and parts of the zone qualify for Clayton Valley Charter at the high-school level — one of the strongest public options in the area.
